National Technology Week 2023 – Igniting Young Minds to Innovate

Delhi, May 11, 2023 – The Government of India has announced the celebration of this year’s ‘National Technology Day’ as the ‘National Technology Week’ from 11th to 14th May 2023. This special week aims to showcase the remarkable scientific achievements and technological breakthroughs since 2014, commemorating the 25th anniversary of National Technology Day.

Under the theme of ‘School to Start-Up – Igniting Young Minds to Innovate,’ students from schools across India, engaged with Atal Tinkering Labs, will participate and demonstrate their technological innovations at Hall No.4, Pragati Maidan, Delhi. This event, organized by the Atal Innovation Mission of the Government of India, is expected to inspire and enrich the young participants.

In addition to the students’ participation, exhibitors from 12 Ministries of the Government of India will also showcase a wide range of scientific innovations in Hall No.4 & 5A, Pragati Maidan, Delhi. The event will be inaugurated by the Honorable Prime Minister on 11th May 2023, marking the beginning of an exciting and insightful week. The exhibition will be open to the general public and students from 11th May 2023, starting at 3:00 pm, until 13th May 2023, concluding at 5:00 pm.

To ensure nationwide participation, schools all over India are encouraged to celebrate the ‘National Technology Week’ within their campuses. Various activities such as quiz competitions, poster making competitions, and essay writing competitions can be organized to engage students in the spirit of technological advancement and innovation.

For schools in the Delhi-NCR region, a special opportunity awaits. Students and teachers are invited to visit the exhibition at Hall No.4, Pragati Maidan, Delhi, from 11th May 2023, starting at 3:00 pm, until 13th May 2023, concluding at 5:00 pm. This visit will allow them to witness the exceptional scientific achievements and interact with the creators behind these innovations.

Schools are requested to disseminate this information among their students and teachers, ensuring active participation and making the celebration of ‘National Technology Week’ a resounding success.
