CBSE Calls for Innovative Articles in Upcoming Edition of CENBOSEC (Jan-June 2024)
In a bid to promote collaborative learning and innovative pedagogical practices, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited schools across the nation to contribute articles for the forthcoming edition of CENBOSEC, the Board’s biannual e-magazine.
Focusing on Art Integrated Learning
Aligned with the objectives of the New Education Policy 2020 and National Curriculum Framework for School Education 2023, the theme for the January to June 2024 edition of CENBOSEC revolves around “Art Integrated Learning: Integrating Art Activities into Lesson Planning.” The aim is to encourage schools to explore and share creative approaches to education, emphasizing hands-on learning, arts integration, and sports-integrated education.
Submission Details and Sub-Themes
Principals and teachers are invited to submit original articles in English or Hindi on or before April 15, 2024, using the provided Google Form link. The articles should fall under the following sub-themes:
- Planning the Lesson:
- Innovative transdisciplinary lesson plans
- Innovative multidisciplinary lesson plans
- Art integration lesson plans for STEM
In addition to articles, school students are encouraged to showcase their artistic talents by submitting cover designs related to the theme through this link. The best 20 articles and the most outstanding cover design will be featured in the upcoming issue of CENBOSEC.
Guidelines for Article Submission
The CBSE has provided detailed guidelines for the submission of articles:
- Articles should include a title, introduction, content, conclusion, reflections, best practices, and end notes/references.
- Complete author details, including a colored passport-size photograph, are required.
- Articles should not exceed 1000 words or 2 pages (A4 size) and must be submitted in MS-Word format (PDFs will not be considered).
- Font size: 11-point Arial, one and a half spacing for all texts/paragraphs.
- Tables and images should be appropriately placed, with captions and a self-photograph of the author at the end of the article.
- Citations must be in endnotes, and authors are responsible for obtaining permission for copyrighted materials.
